History Curriculum Statement
Our history curriculum aims to support children being Historians, to enquire and investigate – ultimately our goal is to inspire our pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past. History helps pupils to understand the process of change, the diversity of societies and how historical people and events have impacted our society today.
Our history curriculum will equip the children to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgment. How do we know this? Is it true? What was that used for? It forms part of our ambitious curriculum where children can make connections to other areas of learning in the curriculum.
